Federico Gutiérrez's proposals on security, employment, corruption and education

This Thursday, January 27, El Encuentro was held, the first major Prisa Media debate of presidential candidates in which Sergio Fajardo, Gustavo Petro and Federico Gutiérrez participated.

The broadcast was made through radio and in the digital media of the different platforms of all the stations of the Prisa Media Group.

In this regard, the presidential candidate, Federico Gutiérrez, who is part of the Team for Colombia coalition, spoke about his proposals for the 2022 presidential campaign on employment, corruption, security and other issues.

In this regard, Federico Gutiérrez indicated that for there to be employment, companies must be created.

Likewise, he pointed out that he believes in free enterprise through competitiveness.

“ We need to generate the conditions for investments to come , there must be tranquility, physical and legal security, restore order and guarantee opportunities”, said Gutiérrez.

“We intend to create companies so that there is more employment,” he pointed out.

Likewise, he explained that today there are 22 million hectares that are usable for the countryside and only 5 million are used.

Now, regarding the issue of imports, the presidential candidate, after an intervention by Gustavo Petro , indicated that: “ Gustavo forgot to say something here, as if this were simply an issue for only one country: if you raise tariffs, you are also uploaded to the other side in the products you import . What we have to do here is be competitive.”

Expropriation

Regarding this issue, Gustavo Petro intervened and Federico Gutiérrez replied: "I will never have to explain the expropriation, why do you explain it so much?"

On the other hand, faced with the programmatic contents that have been presented as presidential proposals, Federico Gutiérrez told Sergio Fajardo and Gustavo Petro that it seems that they were going back to the past, “it is that you have presented yourself I don't know how many times a presidency and the country has already told them no, it is because the country does not want the same thing. I do not present any continuity of anything, ”said Gutiérrez.

“I believe in the concept of comprehensive security. Security must be guaranteed for everyone,” said Federico Gutiérrez.

“ The criminal structures cannot continue to threaten Colombians. Facing the regions, the State must arrive with justice, tertiary routes and education”, added the presidential candidate.

Likewise, Gutiérrez proposed special anti-robbery units to combat crime in Colombia. At the same time social investment. “It is not only guaranteeing authority, it is generating more opportunities. Every child who leaves the school system is at risk of entering a criminal structure , ”he said.

"The hardest blow we dealt to criminality (as mayor of Medellin) was having re-entered more than 8,200 children into the school system," he pointed out.

Regarding this issue, Federico Gutiérrez indicated that “many things are necessary for the country to move forward. First, the fight against corruption, an austere and efficient state and boosting an economy through what I call the three E's which are employment, education and entrepreneurship”.

“While some of us want more employment to be generated and companies to exist , there are others that what they do is destroy them. What an entrepreneur needs are conditions to be able to operate and generate jobs”, he added.

Corruption

Regarding corruption, the presidential candidate from Antioquia responded: “what greater corruption than bags of money. Here you don't just have to tell stories, but have moral authority”.

Likewise, he was emphatic in pointing out that "at least 40 billion pesos that are evaded in taxes do not enter the State's income to be able to invest in social problems."

Among one of his campaign proposals is political death for congressmen who are convicted of corruption and, for businessmen who are also involved in this issue , who cannot reapply or bid in public procurement processes.

You have a moral problem. “We must educate our children in values . We cannot give up the most important institution that is the family. The task belongs to all Colombians. We have to be transparent in acting ”, he emphasized.

Gutiérrez was explicit in pointing out that ex-combatants and young people who handed over their weapons must be complied with in order to give them every opportunity.

Why vote for Federico Gutiérrez?

“I believe in the country, we have potential. My enemies are the corrupt and violent. I will always be on the side of the people,” said the presidential candidate of the Team for Colombia coalition.

He stressed that the path of legality for young people is always more important.

“We will arrive with free tuition for students from social classes 1, 2 and 3 in public universities”, as one of Federico Gutiérrez's presidential campaign proposals.

Likewise, he asserted that if he becomes president he will not allow any type of violence in Colombia.

Likewise, the presidential candidate made a clarification to Gustavo Petro: “ Not everyone who is in a situation of poverty is a thief , that is an offense to the people, that is not the reason for the insecurity issues, if that were the reason , 21 million people in Colombia would be in the streets stealing, that is an insult and a basic justification to say why crime occurs.

Finally, the presidential candidate stressed that he did not believe in hunger , which is why in his government he would try to generate more opportunities, however, Gustavo Petro intervened and said: “Federico, you do not know what it is to be hungry. Reducing hunger is what allows us to reduce insecurity.”
