The Latam Summit 2022 begins in Cancun

CANCÚN, Q. ROO.- The Employers Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) Quintana Roo, together with the Secretariat of Economic Development (Headquarters) and other business organizations kicked off the Latam Summit 2022 business conference in Cancun.

In this regard, Sergio León Cervantes, president of Coparmex, indicated that one of the main objectives of his organization and the different organizations and participating chambers is to promote diversification and economic recovery in the state.

"Our only wish is to achieve this diversification and economic recovery, so that we can be able to consume within our state and be a platform for Central America, the Caribbean, South America and, why not, in our continent," said León Cervantes.

For her part, Rosa Elena Lozano Vásquez, head of the Headquarters, announced that the participation of the dependency under her charge within the business macroround will contain exhibitions, conferences, the participation of Customs of Mexico City with the theme of the Bonded Warehouse Strategic (RFE), as well as the participation of those who already use it and its progress and impact.

“Tomorrow (today), at the inauguration, we will also have the presence of the Secretary of Economy of the federal government, various ambassadors from Latin America, and we want to take advantage of our environment and promote our commercial movement, strengthen ties and how we should connect us”, expressed Lozano Vásquez.

Iván Ferrat Mancera, president of the Caribbean Business Coordinating Council, highlighted during his participation the importance of events of this type, especially for the economic diversification of the state.

“That is why the call to all businessmen in the state, to participate in these conferences, to get to know the RFE; to know that within our state there are many opportunities and a diversification can be made not only in types of tourism, but in other types of businesses”, exhorted Ferrat Mancera.

Likewise, Marcy Bezaleel Pacheco, president of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Spicy Food Industry (Canirac) Cancun, highlighted the importance of continuing to hold and grow events such as the Latam Summit, which reaches not only Latin America, but the whole world. , to publicize what the Mexican Caribbean offers.

Bertha Medina Núñez de Cáceres, president of the Association of Hotels and Tourist Services of the Center and South of Quintana Roo, focused that the state capital has had a great underpinning thanks to its ties with Belize, for which she thanked her for participating in this event. , the support and the joint work to continue moving forward.
