They ask teachers to put their hands on their chests and spend classes in the classroom with students who do not have Internet

From the School Board of Parents of the Sucre District they asked teachers to put their hands on their chests to pass classes in person with students who do not have the digital tools for distance classes . They hope that it is not a position that reflects "laziness".

In an interview with Correo del Sur Radio FM 90.1, the president of the School Board of Parents, Julia Ventura, asked the teachers "to put their hands on their chests" this Tuesday, since it was agreed with the Departmental Directorate of Education that go to classrooms to benefit students who do not have cell phones or other devices, from the first day of school, without neglecting the necessary protection measures against covid-19.

However, due to the high levels of contagion from the pandemic, it is expected that this will be ruled out, although there is hope that when the positive cases drop again, this modality will be applied.

Yesterday, Monday, an executive from the Chuquisaca Urban Teachers' Office, Efraín Villalpando, affirmed that the modality for educational work must be chosen in accordance with epidemiological behavior, for which he described face-to-face classes during the fourth wave.

Likewise, Ventura remarked that together with the Mayor's Office, they are carrying out inspections of educational units to verify the state of their infrastructures.

On this issue, he stated that "there is neglect of the Mayor's Office", since all the arrangements should be made by the end of 2021. In some educational units, weeds and pigeon waste were found, among other aspects, he said.
