¿Cómo nació su pasión por la moda?

K.M: Since I was little I loved playing to dress, I felt that through clothes I could transmit my personality on each facet.

K.M: More than 10 years ago when Facebook and Instagram started, I started knowing international brands through these platforms that had incredible products, the latest trends at affordable prices, and I woke up the idea of creating something like that in Mexico.I was fighting a lot to get original and accessible designs, so I decided to create a Facebook page, publish photos of designs cured by me, which you could buy on order since I did not have the capital to bring them and that was how I started Turquoise to my 19years.

D.C: Two years ago I associated with Karen, we always had the same vision of what we wanted to do: take Turquoise very far leaving behind physical stores and opening to this digital world.

¿Cuáles son algunas de sus inspiraciones?

K.M: As a curator and designer of Turquoise, I am very inspired to observe people, their actions, which are wearing, how women behave, mostly.Traveling is another of my inspirations, knowing new places awakens my creativity.

¿Cuál es la identidad de su marca?

K.M: Creativity, innovation and style.

K.M: Do not give up, I think it is definitely the most difficult thing to undertake because there are new challenges to face daily.

D.C: Know how to find a solution to each problem, analyze the failures and change them to continue growing.

K.M: Creating creative and original content. We forget the followers, likes and competition, we focus on creating content that we would like to see and have fun in the process, and we seek to transmit it.The women who see it can relate to us and the incredible team of women behind the brand.

D.C: Working every day with a team that challenges us.We certainly believe that Turquoise has grown by the team behind, every woman inside Turquoise gives the company something unique.

K.M: It was my favorite color at that time, I was 19 years old and I loved the turquoise stones. As the brand was evolving, I thought about changing it several times but I already had a special meaning for me, it reminded me of that moment in my bed with my laptop where I decided to create that page on Facebook and start my own business without idea how to do it but with some with somehuge desire and a security of wanting to achieve it.

K.M: The freedom to create, to be able to inspire more women to do the same, not to settle for a job that they do not like and they themselves create the work of their dreams.

K.M: They are all special, each one shows us a lot, in all we do we put the heart one hundred percent.

D.C: What I like most about Turquoise is that we weekly know and interact with incredible women with unique projects and each one has taught me a lot.

K.M: Do not give up, there are always obstacles, but you have to change the way you see them and take them as challenges. We can all undertake, but success is for fools who do not give up, sometimes we think that if it were easy, others had done it, the problem is that many think the same.Have security in yourself regardless of the age you have or whatever you tell you.

Another advice that would give them are disciplined, discipline is everything, you can have a lot.

D.C: Millennials think that we have everything so fast and the results arrive immediately.I also believed that and it despaired me very fast, but in entrepreneurs.Work every day.

It is certainly also having a good team that passionate about the project as you, even if they have to do 1000 interviews until you find the person indicated with the same ambition and associate with someone who has the same values and the same vision as you.

To all who are undertaking it is very important to have very clear goals in the future and visualize it from the beginning as the best business in the world regardless of what people tell them. They never meet their work, time passes very fast and if they are not constantly innovating you stay behind.

¿Cómo les afectó la pandemia?

K.M: We saw each other in the need to immediately change our approach to e-commerce and social networks since we knew that people were going to spend more time on platforms due to pandemic confinement. As for our products we focus on bringing more casual styles such as pants, sweatshirts and more comfortable clothes to work from home.

D.C: We were looking for the digital world and the pandemic accelerated the process. We did not have our e-commerce yet, it was there that we had two options, cry or see how to turn the company. We focus 100% on the expansion of our social networks, without a doubt I think that COVID is the best that has happened to us as a company since it made us challenge and work more than ever.
