Lay's launches vodka distilled from potatoes and sells out quickly

Lay's launched a unique vodka that is distilled from its proprietary potatoes which sold out just hours after going on sale online.

The idea of ​​a potato vodka is not far-fetched, as it is a drink that can be distilled from various ingredients, including potatoes. Lay's Vodka was created in association with Portland-based Eastside Distilling.

Lay's Vodka is made with a blend of Portland Potato Vodka and vodka distilled from Lay's proprietary potatoes. Lay's French fries are made with a variety of potatoes developed in-house by Frito-Lay's food scientists. They are drier and grainier potatoes than the Russet, Yukon Golds and Red potatoes usually found on the market.

Lay's Crisp Vodka is not spiced up for a potato chip flavor, it has been kept simple, a straight 80 proof vodka with a “crisp, clean finish”.
